5th Generation

Limited Release TA42 Bedfordale Jarrah Honey

Some stories have a way of finding their way home.

Five generations ago, our family put down roots amongst the orchards and forests of Bedfordale. Generations grew up here, fell in love here, raised families here and became part of the country itself.

And now, all these years later, the story is beginning again.

The young couple beneath the apple tree on our label represents the fifth generation, not characters from Bedfordale’s past, but family living here today. Their home is where our hives sit, amongst the same orchard country their generations before them knew, with the Jarrah forest rising around them.

There’s something rather beautiful about that.

A new generation. A new love story. Old roots.

And now, a sixth generation is beginning to arrive.

When the Bedfordale Jarrah came into flower, those hives produced something we weren’t expecting.

An extraordinary honey.

Clear, rich and beautifully smooth, this Jarrah has a flavour unlike any we’ve tasted before. There’s the depth and warmth you expect from Jarrah, but then something wonderfully unusual appears, a rich, almost nutty, peanut-butter-like character that keeps you coming back to the jar.

It’s difficult to describe.

It’s even harder to forget.

And apparently we’re not the only ones who think so. Those who taste it have a habit of coming back looking for another jar.

There’s just one problem.

There isn’t much of it.

Jarrah flowering is never guaranteed, and this particular harvest was small. Laboratory tested at TA42, it has also achieved medicinal-grade activity, making an already remarkable Bedfordale honey even more exceptional.

Unfiltered and unprocessed, it remains raw honey just as it came from the hive, a rare expression of one flowering, one place and one moment in our family’s story.

The apple trees are still here. The Jarrah still flowers. The fifth generation has come home.

And somewhere amongst it all, the sixth is beginning.

Five generations of roots. One remarkable Jarrah. And the story isn’t finished yet.
